Music: New Single Day & Night Featuring TIAAN

Today is the first day of Gemini season. This astrological sign is not only meaningful to me because of my birth date; the Twins also intertwine with philosophies about love and life that hold spiritual significance for me. My second single, “Day & Night”, explores this duality, doubling as a duet with close friend and collaborator, TIAAN.

We felt it was appropriate to imbibe our musical interpretation with an airy, ethereal vibe. The polarities and harmonies of Nature manifest in “Day & Night” with sonic ambient-pop energy, nodding to late ‘90s artists like Savage Garden and Sonique. Producer Ford has once again done an incredible job at helping us attain our musical vision. TIAAN’s contributions to “I Can’t” and “Day & Night” have magically clicked, as we seem to do in any professional and personal setting. 

As individuals with our own unique dualities, playing on worldly-personas in an alternative electro-pop atmosphere has further deepened our creative connection. Ever since our chance meeting in Los Angeles, already an immense fan of her work, it’s been an unexpected blessing to grow closer to TIAAN over the years. Collaborating on another single has truly been a gift and it is all the more special to release “Day & Night” on my birthday!

Tonight, I am hosting a virtual birthday party including TIAAN, SATURN, Alto Moon, Brigitte Bidet, Geo, Miss He, Arrrtaddict and World of Unoia. We will also be streaming the “Day & Night” music video, pairing trippy psychedelic visuals that express the energy and mood of this uplifting dance number. Our event will benefit the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund (TLDEF), though free tickets are available for those who can not donate at this time. Even in quarantine, I am happy to celebrate with so many amazing friends and performers and share “Day & Night” with you all!
