Lifestyle: PetChatz Dog Camera

I partnered with PetChatz to review their two-way video chatting  device – like FaceTime for dogs. As many may know, I am a fur parent to two amazing dogs, Frida and Cleo. This device is perfect for doting dogparents like me who consider their dogs their children.

As someone who travels frequently, I miss my dogs so much while I'm out of town! At first I thought having this device was a bit over the top, but on my most recent trip to Miami, I realized how comforting it was to be able to see their little furry faces.

A view from the app giving Cleo a call

Cleo (our maltipoo) has PetChatz all figured out. And she knows that when I ring the device, that a treat may be coming, so she runs right over. Then I can press the treat button and it drops a little treat and I can see her gobble it up. I will say that I don't think Cleo recognizes my face on the video since dogs aren't accustomed to interacting with me that way, but she does hear my voice. And to me it's worth it just to see her adorable self on the camera!

The overall quality of the device is impeccable. The audio is super clear, so the dogs immediately recognize my voice. The app & wallmounted device were easy to set up. The HD video quality is ideal for seeing my fuzzballs. One of the most exciting features on the videophone is the treat dispenser.

I love being able to spoil my dogs even when I’m not home. I recently took a trip out of state and left the dogs with a dog sitter. It was comforting to be able to call the dogs throughout the day and actually see that they were doing well while I was gone.

I would recommend this device to anyone who travels frequently or has a cat or dog that spends time at home alone. It gives you peace on mind knowing that your animal is doing well. Your furry friend can also look forward to getting video call from you during day. Visit the PetChatz website for more information on their videophone and other pet devices and accessories.
