Queer: Atlanta Queer Creatives Panel Discussion Recap
As a newcomer to Atlanta, I found it very important to immerse myself in the creative scene that the city has to offer. Since moving here, I have met many other queer creatives who are making big moves in the community. Being surrounded by so many amazing individuals inspired me to host my first panel discussion called “Atlanta Queer Creatives”.
This event took place on November 8th and was graciously hosted by Industrious Ponce City Market in their beautiful office space. The evening was filled with amazing sounds from DJ Jay Sport @jsport_, delicious drinks provided by my amazing partners Purity Vodka and Pure Brazilian coconut water, and a two-part panel discussion featuring some of the most talented queer creatives in Atlanta. The discussion was extremely insightful and catered to a diverse audience of over 50 people.
The panel discussion included the following speakers:
Morgan @oaklantathebohemian - Creative Curator and Co-Owner of The Bohemian Brands
Brigitte Bidet @brigittebidet - Drag Queen (Creative Loafing - Atlanta's Best drag queen!)
Phillip-Michael @powjones - Unisex Designer
Jay @jsport_ - DJ/Curator and Co-Founder of underground club night: MORPH ATL
Toni @_toni_tones - Co-Founder TASTE and Founder of Cultivating Cultures
Ian Aber @abearcomedian - Comedian, Writer & Show Producer, including ABCD (Burlesque comedy drag show) and Urban Tree Comedy
Charlie xile @charliexxile - Psych 'A' Delic Rapper & Fashion Enthusiast
As an influencer with over 66k followers on social media, I strive to use my outreach to produce inspiring community events that bring together influencers, brands, and community members to build passion and momentum for the creative community that spans even further beyond Atlanta.
